Board Appoints Tammy Lowe
Executive Director of FRF

by Jackie Yellin
Board of Directors/Director of Education

On October 15, 2007, the Board of Directors of FRF voted to appoint Tammy Lowe Executive Director of the nonprofit organization. Tammy's objective as Director in the near future is to enlist, organize, and guide volunteers who will assist in FRF's upcoming international educational campaign.

Tammy's appointment as Executive Director signals a turning point in FRF's history. Having solved the problem of fibromyalgia, we now have two important objectives: First, we must go about conducting more definitive and confirming studies; second, we must educate the public and health care professions about the nature of fibromyalgia and about treatments that are appropriate and effective for patients. Through this second objective, we know that we can enable most patients to escape their pain and suffering, regain control of their lives, and fulfill their dreams as healthy participants in life.

Tammy has demonstrated a high level of competence in health care management. We fully and enthusiastically expect this competence to be reflected in her guidance and direction of FRF toward the fulfillment of our goals.
